How does the way we use language reflect our personality traits?

I chose this question because I want to research the link between the use of language and how people act. Last semester, I took a seminar on Social Psychology and that made me realize I would love to study psychology next year because I am very interested in the way people act and think. I come across a lot of videos of public speakers, who show people how to use language to become more interesting, more confident, and more in tune with an audience for example. Those videos are very educational and useful, and I would like to do some research on how language and personality connect in day-to-day life interactions. We can get to know people and what they're like by studying their vocabulary range, their pronunciation, and the proverbs and expressions they use. That is something I find very interesting.

In Social Psychology and from personal experiences I already learned a few things about this subject, but I'd like to know if I'm correct about them and I'm excited to delve into it.
